How your age is counted
Your exact age is the elapsed calendar time from your date of birth to today, or to another date you choose. Completed years are counted first, then complete calendar months, then remaining days.
This avoids the common mistake of subtracting only the birth year or assuming every month has the same number of days.

How do I find out exactly how old I am?
Enter your full date of birth, keep today as the reference date and select Calculate my age. The result shows completed years, calendar months and remaining days.
How many days old am I?
The result includes the total number of elapsed calendar days between your date of birth and the selected reference date.
When is my next birthday?
After calculating, the result shows the next birthday date and the number of days remaining. February 29 birthdays use the last valid day of February in non-leap years.
Can I check how old I was on another date?
Yes. Replace today in the reference-date field with the past date you want to check. The reference date must not be earlier than the date of birth.
Does this store my birthday?
No. The calculation runs in your browser. Your date is not submitted to a server to produce the result.
Why am I one year younger than birth year subtracted from this year?
If your birthday has not happened yet in the reference year, subtracting years alone overstates your completed age by one.
