What you get

The next four milestone birthdays at your chosen interval

Enter a date of birth, the date to calculate from and a milestone interval in years. The tool lists the dates of the next four milestone birthdays at that interval — every 5 years, every 10 years, or any other whole-year step.

★Method

Rounding up to the next milestone

The tool first works out the completed years of age on the calculation date, then rounds up to the next multiple of your interval. Each milestone date is the birth date plus that many years; a 29 February birth date is observed on 28 February in non-leap years.

◎Example

Worked example

Born 15 March 2010 and calculated on 20 October 2026, the completed age is 16. With a 5-year interval the next milestone is 20, so the list runs: 20 on 15 March 2030, 25 on 15 March 2035, 30 on 15 March 2040 and 35 on 15 March 2045.

⌁Limits

What it cannot do

Milestones are whole years added to the birth date, and the sequence always re-anchors to the interval you enter — a different interval gives a different set of dates. The tool plans the dates only; it does not send reminders.

Common questions

Next Milestone Birthday Calculator FAQ

Answers about method, inputs, privacy, boundaries and responsible interpretation.

What does this calculator list?

It lists the dates of the next four milestone birthdays at the interval you choose — every 5 years, every 10 years, or any other whole-year step. It plans the dates only; it does not send reminders.

How is the first milestone in the list chosen?

The tool first works out the completed years of age on the date you calculate from, then rounds up to the next multiple of your interval. Each milestone date is the birth date plus that many years.

Which milestones are listed for someone born on 15 March 2010, calculated on 20 October 2026 with a 5-year interval?

The completed age is 16, so the next milestone is 20, and the list runs: 20 on 15 March 2030, 25 on 15 March 2035, 30 on 15 March 2040 and 35 on 15 March 2045.

What happens if I change the milestone interval?

Milestones are whole years added to the birth date, and the sequence always re-anchors to the interval you enter — a different interval gives a different set of dates.

What happens for a 29 February birth date?

A 29 February birth date is observed on 28 February in non-leap years, so milestone dates falling in those years land on 28 February.
