What you get

The three-month mark after a birthday

Enter a date of birth and the number of months to add — 3 for the quarter birthday, with any value from 1 to 11 available for the other month marks. The calculator counts that many calendar months forward from the birth date, keeping the same day of the month where possible, and shows the resulting date with its weekday. The quarter birthday is the quarter-year point: 3 months after the birthday, with 6 and 9 months giving the half and three-quarter marks.

★Method

Calendar months, same day number

Months are added on the calendar, not as a fixed count of days, so a 3-month span can cover 89 to 92 days depending on the months involved. Edge case: when the target month has no matching day, the date clamps to its last day — a baby born on 30 November 2025 reaches the 3-month mark on 28 February 2026, not 30 February.

◎Worked example

Born 15 March 2026, quarter birthday

Adding 3 months to 15 March 2026 gives Monday 15 June 2026. The 6-month (half-birthday) mark for the same date of birth is 15 September 2026, and the 9-month mark is 15 December 2026.

⌁Limits

A calendar marker, not an official date

Quarter birthdays are an informal milestone: the calculator simply adds calendar months to the date you enter, so the result depends on the birth date being right, and month-end births shift to the last day of shorter months as described above. The date has no official standing — it is a marker for your own planning or celebration.

Common questions

Quarter Birthday Calculator FAQ

Answers about method, inputs, privacy, boundaries and responsible interpretation.

What is a quarter birthday?

It is the three-month mark after a birthday — the quarter-year point. The 6-month mark is the half birthday, and 9 months gives the three-quarter mark.

How is the quarter birthday date calculated?

Months are added on the calendar, not as a fixed count of days, keeping the same day of the month where possible. A 3-month span can therefore cover 89 to 92 days depending on the months involved. The result shows the date with its weekday.

When is the quarter birthday of a baby born on 15 March 2026?

Adding 3 months to 15 March 2026 gives Monday 15 June 2026. The 6-month (half-birthday) mark for the same date of birth is 15 September 2026, and the 9-month mark is 15 December 2026.

Can I find other month marks, not just 3 months?

Yes. Enter a date of birth and the number of months to add — 3 for the quarter birthday, with any value from 1 to 11 available for the other month marks.

What happens if the birth date falls at the end of a month?

When the target month has no matching day, the date clamps to its last day — a baby born on 30 November 2025 reaches the 3-month mark on 28 February 2026, not 30 February. Quarter birthdays are an informal milestone with no official standing.
